Common Sense CAN Win!

In this issue:

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

GOOD NEWS! States (including TN) are winning push back on Title IX Rewrite

Check out this AP report for a little good news. A few days ago, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi and Montana won a victory over the preposterous Title IX rule change that opened up girls’ locker rooms and athletic events to boys. Today, six more states, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia won an injunction in federal court, blocking the insane action by the current Democrat administration. Keep up the fight, warriors! There’s HOPE in these legal victories and even more if we WIN in November!

Election Calendar – Are You Spreading the Word?

Local County Election Commissions have sample ballots available for the August 1st election. Find YOUR local county commission website here. In addition to the county general ballot, primaries for state offices and US Senate candidates, note that there are two judicial retention questions on the ballot. These judges were appointed by Governor Lee in February, 2023:

Dwight Tarwater – Supreme Court Judge, At Large

Matthew J. Wilson – Court of Criminal Appeals, Western Division

What Can You Do?

Wake Up, Participate, Donate and Get Involved!

Get Involved! Begin with local – talk to friends and neighbors about their plans to participate in the upcoming elections. Educate yourself on the issues of most concern and develop persuasive messages. Write letters to the editor on issues of most importance to you. When you have determined a candidate that you want to support – volunteer to help in their campaign. It’s important to win at local, state and national levels! Don’t sit on the sidelines!

What Should Be on the 2024 GOP Platform?

Have you ever read the current Republican Party Platform? It’s a fairly lengthy document but you should consider reading it! Don’t be confused when you see the 2016 date. In 2020, with the limited convention setup, the GOP voted to maintain the 2016 Platform. The platform is very important, as every Republican candidate and local party is unified by support for the positions in the document. Check it out for yourself! Follow this link to view the National GOP Website, scroll down to The Platform and click on the ‘learn more about the platform link’ 👉 Republican Party Platform

At the 2024 Republican National Convention in July, a new platform will be adopted. The two delegation members serving on the platform committee are

Gloria Giorno gloria@gloriagiorno.com

Scott Golden golden@tngop.org

Both representatives welcome your thoughts on what should, or should NOT be included in the 2024 Platform. Reach out to them to submit your thoughts and suggestions. Don’t forget to thank them for serving on the committee!
