As we celebrate Independence Day this week, remember the valiant sacrifices made by the freedom seeking colonists and generations of Americans since. In our nation’s current state (economy, border, culture wars), consider what level of time and treasure you can commit to preserving our country through upcoming elections!

The Emperor Has No Clothes!

This past week’s nationally televised debate put our current president’s undeniable cognitive disabilities on full display – not only to the electorate but to the world stage. Post-debate polls indicate as many as 72% of registered voters do not believe President Biden has the mental and cognitive abilities to serve in office.
The urgency to elect a competent candidate is more evident than ever before. Also evident is the need to pray for our country daily. Many legislative leaders have expressed concerns regarding the country’s vulnerability to enemies who are certainly as aware as we of our president’s frailty.
In the meantime, peruse Jon McNaughton’s creative parody of Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Emperor’s New Clothes”.

What to do? How about poll watching?
Partisan poll watchers and challengers play an important role in election transparency throughout the nation. In general, poll watchers are appointed by political parties and their primary purpose is to ensure that their party has a fair chance of winning an election. Organizing poll watchers involves identification of qualifications, training and appropriate assignments.
The RNC is pursuing this activity in 2024 more intensely than ever before.
ELECTION INTEGRITY – RNC Statement:
The RNC’s Election Integrity Department is recruiting thousands of poll watchers and filing dozens of key lawsuits in key states across the country.
We have staff on the ground in battleground states and lawyers from coast to coast working to protect the vote.
We’ve filed over 80 election integrity lawsuits in more than 20 states this cycle alone. We will have trained volunteers and lawyers in place when it matters during the 2024 elections.
In most cases, state residency is required for poll watchers. The states being targeted in this effort include AZ, CA, FL, GA, MI, MN, MT, NV, NY, NC, OH, PA,TX, VA and WI.

As Tennessee residents, we may not be able to directly assist as poll watchers in these states, but YOU CAN HELP by spreading the word to registered Republican voters in these states! Check out the link below and share with those that can help:

And don’t forget, contributing – even a small dollar amount to TNGOP or the RNC helps fund these important efforts as well as Republican congressional and senate races.
TN GOP Donation Link – state and federal candidates
National RNC Contribution Link – federal candidates
Don’t want to contribute to those sites? For down ballot races, knowing which candidates most need help to win in purple or blue regions is important. If you have difficulty researching for those most in need, ask candidates you trust about support for others. Many certainly appreciate your support for their own campaigns and they frequently help others as well. For example, Speaker Cameron Sexton and US Congressman John Rose both support other candidates in challenging races around the state and country. And don’t forget to consider a contribution to Donald J. Trump.

Get Involved! Begin with local – talk to friends and neighbors about their plans to participate in the upcoming elections. Educate yourself on the issues of most concern and develop persuasive messages. Write letters to the editor on issues of most importance to you. When you have determined a candidate that you want to support – volunteer to help in their campaign. It’s important to win at local, state and national levels! Don’t sit on the sidelines!

Thousands of delegates from 56 states and territories will convene to select the 2024 Republican nominee for President. Milwaukee is preparing for over 50,000 guests to include alternate delegates, political representatives and candidates and the media!
