Civic and Political Engagement
Linda always supports the Republican party and votes for Republican candidates.  Starting in college, she engaged in grassroots campaign efforts. Having a genuine heart for her communities, Linda continually demonstrates volunteerism, civic organization involvement and dedicated leadership.

After years of dedication to her sons’ education and extracurricular activities, Linda invests her ‘empty nest’ years with community activities as well as the local, state and national Republican party.

During the past ten years, she served on

  • the Cumberland County Regional Planning Commission,
  • executive committees for the local Republican Party and Republican Women’s Club,
  • the board of directors for the TN Federation of Republican Women – representing eight counties in the Upper Cumberland region.

On the national level, her roles included

  • attending the 2024 Republican National Convention, and
  • an appointment as alternate elector for the TN delegation to certify the vote for the 47th president, Donald J. Trump.

On a grassroots level, she

  • promoted the ‘My Faith Votes’ national letter writing campaign and the TN GOP phone outreach.
  • walked miles going door to door as a Mighty American Strike Force volunteer, and
  • co-chaired Tennessee’s 2024 ‘boots-on-the-ground’ campaign efforts in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and
State Executive Committee
Linda currently is the District 15 TN GOP State Executive Committeewoman (SEC), comprised of Cumberland, Jackson, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, and White counties. Elected in 2022 by almost 18,000 Republican voters, she is faithful and attentive to

Linda’s 2nd term goals include

  • enhance two-way communications between local county parties and TN GOP,
  • draft and submit amendments to state bylaws that address local county needs, and
  • combat divisive agendas within the Republican Party by advocating for unity without uniformity.
Personal and Community Involvement
Raised in a modest West Texas home, Linda graduated with honors from high school and earned an academic scholarship to Texas A&M University.  She also worked a part-time job in transportation research.
Upon graduation with a BS in Civil Engineering, she began her career with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). She earned the respect of both superiors and subordinates through her demonstrated work ethic, communication and organization skills. She supervised teams of all sizes and was appointed to elite strategic planning and organizational efficiency task forces for the 14,000-employee workforce and operations.

Linda married fellow engineer Craig Clark over 30 years ago, and they have two sons whom they homeschooled from K-12.   The family’s education program included an 18-month journey, touring 47 states and 27 national and historic parks, covering everything from the Everglades to the Redwood Forest.

Besides teaching their own children, the Clarks formed and participated in academic co-op programs, where Linda taught classes and co-coached ACT Prep classes with Craig.

In 2017, Linda and Craig joined other community residents to combat the installation of giant industrial wind turbines on Crab Orchard Mountain.   Ultimately, state legislators passed protective measures for all Tennessee counties, requiring industry transparency and accountability. In 2021, they partnered with other citizen leaders to provide timely candidate, election and issue specific educational forums.

Faith Values Linda is strengthened by her faith in Jesus Christ.

She and her husband are members of Central Baptist Church and have led home Bible studies for decades, believing the study of God’s Word provides guidance, sustaining strength and peace that passes understanding.   Unashamedly pro-life, Linda has volunteered in pregnancy counseling centers and, with Craig, served on the founding board in 2002 for the Pregnancy Outreach Center of Childress, TX, which continues to this day.
