Republican National Committee – Proposed New Leadership
This week, the Republican National Committee will meet to elect new leadership. Your representatives on the RNC are TN GOP Chair Scott Golden, National Committeewoman Beth Campbell and National Committeeman Oscar Brock. Thus far, only two candidates have stepped forward – Michael Whatley for chairman and Lara Trump for co-chair. Bios for both individuals and their letters requesting RNC support are below.

Dear Fellow Members of the Republican National Committee,
I am writing to announce my candidacy for Chairman of the Republican National Committee, ahead of the Committee’s upcoming vote on March 8th in Houston. I look forward to seeing you in Houston next week. Working together, we have an extraordinarily important opportunity ahead: America is depending on us to send President Trump back to the White House, expand our majority in the House of Representatives and win control of the Senate. If I am elected Chair, I will work tirelessly beside you, my fellow RNC members, the President’s campaign, and voters across the country to win in November and fix the damage that Joe Biden has inflicted on our country.
Everything our committee does should be in service to two key goals: getting out the vote and protecting the ballot. We need to be laser-focused on registering new voters, pushing voters to the polls, and taking advantage of every opportunity to run up our margin in key states across the country. Simultaneously, we will work around the clock to file aggressive litigation where needed, recruit and train tens of thousands of poll watchers and poll workers and hold Democrat officials accountable in court when they try to subvert election integrity.
I believe that my experience driving turnout and protecting election integrity in North Carolina, as well as my time as RNC General Counsel, have prepared me well for this role. I have been truly honored to receive President Trump’s endorsement for this position and I hope to earn your vote as we undertake the crucial work of winning up and down the ballot in 2024.
Thank You and God Bless,
Michael Whatley, Chairman of North Carolina GOP

Members of the RNC:
Lara Trump
Today, I am formally launching my campaign for Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee.
In just a few short months, Americans will head to the polls to elect our next president. Between now and November 5th, we have extremely important work to do: Republicans need to unite and do everything we possibly can to re-elect President Donald Trump and fire Joe Biden.
This election is bigger than just us. It’s about my children (Luke and Carolina), your children, and the generations to come. We need to save this country for all of them.
With your vote and support, I will focus on three key areas as Co-Chair to help save America from another four disastrous years of Biden and return President Trump to the White House.
Number one, we will build and activate the most effective battleground state election integrity program Republicans have ever had. That means having lawyers in the room and volunteers at the polls when it matters – we will deliver an election integrity program that utilizes legal strategy and operational excellence to make sure that elections are secure.
Number two, we will do a deep dive through all of the RNC’s existing contracts and vendor agreements, identifying what’s useful and what isn’t to taking back the White House. We must make sure that the RNC’s money is being spent at maximum value, and we will secure the best prices for the best services and we will eliminate all spending that doesn’t go directly to winning elections.
Finally, we will prioritize the fundamental mechanics of winning elections to ensure that we triumph in close races. Our sole focus will be on the blocking and tackling that it takes to get voters to the polls, stop Democrats from undermining elections, and engage with low-propensity voters in a meaningful way. If we don’t win, nothing else matters.
I’m proud to have the endorsement of my father-in-law and 45th President, Donald J. Trump, for this position and understand the fundamental importance of this role. In the coming days, I look forward to connecting with you, the members of the RNC, and hopefully earning your vote.
Thank you,
