Buckle Your Seatbelts!
Just scroll down this newsletter to see the meetings, dinners and fun special events taking place in July and August! It’s time to engage with your local party to be prepared for the upcoming election seasons. Every local Republican party is preparing for special outreach events – fair booths, street fairs, breakfasts for first responders – you name it, it’s happening!
Candidate announcements seem to be coming out daily! State and Federal offices will have primaries next August, but our large geographic areas present quite the challenge for candidates to present themselves to potential supporters and voters. Watch their campaign sites and social media to see when and where to meet them!
For Tennessee Governor, there’s only one official candidate in the running. John Rose, currently serving as the 6th district US Representative, is touring the state and introducing himself in all 95 counties. You can check his website, request speaking engagements and shop for merchandise > John Rose for Tennessee
For U.S. Senate, incumbent Bill Hagerty has announced running for re-election. You’ll see President Trump’s endorsement on the Team Hagerty website.
U.S. Congress – District 6 On May 21st, Jon Henry, SgtMaj USMC (ret) made his official announcement to run for Congress. His campaign site Henry for Congress provides his reasons for running, biography and issue statements.
U.S. Congress – District 7 With Congressman Green’s recent announcement to step down after the BBB (Big, Beautiful, Bill) passes, District 7 candidates are stepping up – all military veterans. Clarksville Now reports three so far, Matt Van Epps, Jason Knight and Jon Thorp. The article includes links to each candidate’s websites.
